Golden World

GOLDEN WORLD	The Golden World logo was owned by Ed Wingate and possibly Detroit business woman Joanne Brattan. The label was based initially at 11801, 12th Street, Detroit, but later moved to 4309 Bueno Vista, Detroit. The first five releases were issued from an unknown scource on a red label with silver lettering. The familiar yellow label with black lettering commences at A-1. The last single, EW 115, was issued on a white label with blue lettering. Although 102 is credited as a Golden World release it was issued on Ric-Tic as a demo. The label ran from circa 1962 to 1967.

Many of the releases on Golden World were issued on Ric-Tic but with slightly different credits, etc. GW 18, Juanita Williams, was issued on Wingate, but with differnt mattrix numbers. GW 27 ("Hungry For Love") was issued on Ric-Tic (104) but with totally different credits, GW 33 ("Sweetheart Darling") was issued on Ric-Tic 105. The instrumental to GW 41 ("I Love the Life I Live") is on Ric-Tic 41 ("Hungry For Love").
