Palmer

PALMER	Palmer Records was owned Palmer James, whose name appears on several writing and producing credits on the label. The label design is split between the origional red background and black lettering, with the label's name encompassed within a large 'P' and the muli-coloured design. This was red and black with a white margin, which housed the Palmer logo. Al Williams was also issued on La Beat (LB 6602) and Tommy Neal also came out on the Pamline (PAM 100) and was later picked-up by Vault. It's interesting to note the Pamline issue has the mattrix  P-5024, the same as Palmer. 509, The Peoples Choice, also came out on Grand Land (GL-414), hence the oddity in the mattrix numbers up to this point and beyond. Tommy Fonteria's 'Merry-Go-Round" has same backing to "Head and shoulders" by Patti Young. Yellow = Northern Soul plays.
