H.P.C. was a subsidiary of the Harvey label and owned by Harvey Fuqua & Gwen Gordy. H.P.C. stands for Hardye Producing Company. The Two Friends were Steve Mancha & Wilbert Jackson. Marvin Gaye played drums on HPC 001. The real name of Steve Mancha is Clyde Wilson. The song "Just Too Much.." was later recorded by the Monitors, '65 and Tami Terrell, 1968.
